34 UPPER SKENE
This streamlined monochromatic design blends a semi-commercial feel with classic modern American architecture. The client required all aspects of the home to be primarily functional, but with a strong aesthetic appeal.
Upper Skene comprises a generous floorplan that boasts 2.5 metre front doors opening into an entrance that widens as you travel the length of the property. As you continue, the gradual steps down increase the interior ceiling heights. This area is lined with in-ground 10-degree light beams that give a column light effect to the home.
To the right is situated the master retreat with walk-in double robes and a generous bathroom with double shower. There are three bedrooms and a second bathroom on this wing of the residence.
The left side houses a three car garage, with workshop and two entries into the dwelling.
The laundry flows through to the kitchen, which then opens up to a sun-drenched living area. Bifold bench to ceiling windows open to an alfresco outdoor dining and barbeque area.
The second entry from the garage passes the powder room and into the central hall/ dining/ entertaining/ formal lounge with open fire. Outside, backing this fireplace, is an external fireplace which faces a full length lap pool.
Upper Skene shines as a landmark home.
